1830 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows a Robert Jones, Jr. being 20-30 years old. Living with him is one male under the age of 8, ( Possibly Darling who married Nancy McFadden) two females under the age of 8, one female being 30-40 years old and one female being 40-50 years old. A total of six people in the household.

1830 Laurel County Kentucky Census shoes Evan Jones living next door to Robert Jr. Five dwellings away is Jesse McFadden.

1830 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows Darling Jones age 50-60 living two households away.

1830 Laurel County Kentucky Census shoes Robert Jones, Sr. being 60-70 years old living five households away.

1840 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows a Robert Jones being 40-50 years old. Living with him are two males under the age of 5, one male is between 10 to 15 years of age. (Possibly Darling who married Nancy McFadden). Two females from five to ten years old, two females ten to fifteen years old, one female fifteen to twenty years old and one female 30-40 years old. A total of ten people in the household. I can not determine if this Robert is indeed the Robin that shows up in the 1850 Laurel County, Kentucky Census.

1840 Laurel County Kentucky Census also shows a Robert Jones being 70-80 years old living with his wife who is 60-70 years of age.

1840 Laurel County Kentucky Census also shows a Darling Jones, Sr. being 80-90 years old.

1850 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows Robin Jones being 51 years old and being born in North Carolina. Living with his wife Sally there are 11 children in the household. Nancy age 21, Rachael age 19(marries Chapman McFadden), Darling age 17(marries Nancy McFadden), Allen age 14(marries Margaret Gregory), Charity age 12(marries Hiram Mahaffy), Louan age 10(marries Elisha Gregory), Anderson age 8, Jane age 6, George age 4, M. Ann age 2 and Elizabeth age six months.

1850 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows Ephraim Jones being 50 years old and being born in North Carolina. Along with his wife Rebecca are nine children in the household.

1850 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows Solomon Jones being 46 years old and being born in North Carolina. Along with his wife Catharine are three children in the household.

1850 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows a Darling Jones being 40 years old and being born in Tennessee. Along with his wife Rachael are six children in the household, They are buried at Robinson Creek Cemetery with a joint marker.

1850 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows David Jones being 51 years old and being born in North Carolina. Along with his wife Nancy are seven children in the household. Living next door to Robin in this Census is John and Theny Young McFadden.

1850 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows Evan Jones being 55 years old and being born in North Carolina. Along with his wife Mary are nine children in the household. In the next household in the same census is Hiram Jones age 26 being born in North Carolina along with his wife and two children who are also born in North Carolina.

1850 Laurel County Kentucky Census shows in the next household is Darling Jones age 81 who states he was born in South Carolina.

1860 Laurel County Kentucky Census does not show Robin or Sally.

Files found on Roots Web show the following three sons of an Unknown Jones. The first son is Robert Jones born about 1765 having the following children "Lievis, William, Ephraim, Darling, Elizabeth, Nancy and Evan.

The file shows this Evan being born about 1800 and marrying Mary Weaver who was born January 30, 1803. They had a son named Evan born in 1833. This Evan and Mary are buried at Providence Cemetery, Bush, Laurel County, Kentucky.

This Robert is the right age to be the Robert Jones, Sr. in the 1830 Laurel County, Kentucky Census.

The second son listed on Roots Web is Isham Jones born about 1778.

The third son listed on Roots Web is Darling Jones born about 1769 and died in 1861. Marries Olive Cox and they have the following five children, William Jones, born abt. 1799, James Jones, born abt. 1811, Anderson David Jones born abt. 1813, Cyrus Jones and Evan Jones. This Darling Jones is the right age to be the Darling Jones in the 1850 Laurel County, Kentucky Census at age 81.

More research is necessary to match up this line. I don't think we can simply assume: Darling>Robert, Jr (Robin)>Robert, Sr.

One Evan Jones, a brother to Joseph W. Jones is buried at Mt. Salem Primitive Baptist Church. His father Evan is buried at Providence.

Other stone at Robinson Creek is of Catherine Jones, "Wife of Robert Jones"
