After we located the Cemeteries of several members of the Carr Family in a plot next to the Resthaven Cemetery in Corbin, Knox County, Kentucky we began attempting to clean up this middle section of the cemetery where most of the old "Rogers-Ford Cemetery" was re-located during the construction of Laurel Lake.

During March 2006, Jackie Carr McFadden had new stones placed at the graves of her Great Grandfather Madison Floyd "Matt" Carr, her Great Grandmother Frances Whitman Carr and her Great Great Grandmother Hulda Sexton Whitman.

Much work remains to be done. We have only made a small amount of progress in cleaning up the cemetery. Anyone who had ancestors living around Laurel River prior to the construction of the dam could possibly have relatives buried here.

By clicking on this link you will be taken back to an old plat giving some of the names of the people buried here that could be of interest to you.
