Notes
General:
Mathew and Susannah Carr are both born around 1760/1770 and are residing in the State of Kentucky by 1790. They received a land grant on Flat Lick Creek in Pulaski County, Kentucky in 1798. Their eight children include Samuel, William, John M., James, (John M. and James were twins), Jane, Andrew, Harvey, and Matthew Ervin.
May have migrated from Pennsylvania but this isn't proven.
That land grant in "Pulaski County" in 1798 may be for a tract of land lying around Stab, KY. There could be estate papers and law suits between family members in Pulaski County which could shed some further light on it.
Only Susannah Carr is listed in 1810 Pulaski County, Kentucky Census for Somerset District. Assume that Mathew is deceased by this date.
The Madison County, KY tax list for 1792 lists a James, Richard and William Carr as paying taxes...according to Logan's information there is a James, Richard and William Carr as being three sons of a John Carr born in 1730...how do these lines intersect?

WAR: Mathew Carr, Pvt, PA line, BLW #9116-100-11 for 100 ac issued 9/11/1789, microcopy #804, Roll #478: "The information concerning the issuance of warrants on this form is found in Vols 2-4 of "Land Warrants Issued Prior to 1800" which are registers of bounty land warrants issued to non-commissioned officers and privates under congressional resolutions of 9/16/1776, and subsequent dates. Other records relative to the application of warrants appear to have been destroyed in the Wa rDept fire
of 11/9/1800. Information concerning warrants surrendered to the Federal Government is to be found in General Land Office records in th eNational Archives". This paragraph is given under Mathew's name in the file. When I sent a request to the National Archives for copies of all records under this name, all they were able to find is the coversheet to his file. I HAVE NO PROOF that this Rev War Mathew is my Mathew. If I can tie the BLW lands to the Flat Lick Creek Lands, then we'd be somewhere.
