Owen Lee and Faytina Mayrine Smith observed their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 6.
Mr. Smith and the former Faytina Fields were married Nov. 6, 1945, in Hamilton.
The couple celebrated at Golden Dragon Restaurant.
Mr. Smith retired from Fisher Body General Motors.
Mrs. Smith is a homemaker.
They have two children, Connie Sue Carson and the late Randall (Shirley) Lee Smith; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

SMITH, Owen Lee
Age 79 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 11:05 A.M. He was born in Sidell, Illinois on August 7, 1926 the son of Bradley and Rosie (Delph) Smith. Owen was employed in machine repair at Fisher Body for 22 years, retiring in 1975. On November 6, 1945 in Hamilton he married F. Mayrine Fields. Owen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who really enjoyed spending his summers fishing in Grand Rapids, Minnesota and at Lake Cumberland. He attended New Liberty United Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, F. Mayrine Smith of Hamilton; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Smith of Hamilton; one sister, Betty Rush of Corbin, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren, Leesa, Kim, Shannon, Brooke, Valerie, Laura, Christopher, Elizabeth, Tiffany, Grace, and Hannan; ten great-grandchildren, Haylee, Abbygail, DeJia, DeAundre, Ashlee, TaLiah, Emma, Logan, Skylar, and Miryah; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Helen Byrd; and two brothers, Charles and Willard Smith. Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, May 15, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dennis Fields and Rev. Charles Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
