In the 1920 Laurel County Census Scott is shown living with his wife
Margaret in the London Town Precinct. Scott is 36 years old. Margaret is 23. They have one child in the household, Daniel Moore. McFadden who is one year old. Scott describes his occupation as a "Foreman". The 1900 Census states he was born in 1881.
Scott stated to the Mountain Echo that he was the "largest man on Dog Branch weighing 280 pounds" in the March 21, 1902 edition.
The February 27, 1902 edition of the Mountain Echo reports that, "Mr. Richard McFadden and his brother Scott, attended church Sunday at Hawk Creek, with that box supper smile all over their faces."
