Family rumor says Jarvis Jackson McFadden moved family to California when new home burned down. Jarvis actually shows up in the 1910 Census for Ponca Township, Lincoln County, Oklahoma. His children, Wade, Walker, Robert and Lula are all still in the household here. Emily says she's given birth to six children all of whom are still living in 1910.
In the 1920 Census for Okemah Township, Okfuskee County, Oklahoma Jarvis shows up along with his wife Emily and son Robert and a daughter in law named Mary Ellen. Mary Ellen says she was born in Oklahoma, her father in Texas and her mother in Missouri.
After the death of his wife Emily, Jarvis Jackson McFadden moves to Ophir Township, City of Orville, County of Butte, California and appears there in the 1930 United States Census. His daughter Martha Ann is living with him along with her second husband, John D. Brown. Also living in the household is Minnie Parkey, Martha Ann's daughter by Alex Parkey. Jarvis' daughter Lula McFadden Splawn is also living with him in California. Lula's husband Walter Columbus Splawn is shown as deceased here.
