Virginia was baptized by Rev. Frank O. Ballard, pastor of Memorial Presbyterian church. She was entered on the Cradle roll of the Capitol Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church on Easter, 1908. In 1915 she received a silk flag for having the largest amount in her mite box in a drive to raise money for a Methodist orphanage at York, Nebraska. She raised the money by selling rhubarb from her barden. She died from typhoid fever on September 29 1916.
