James McCullough is a fourth great grandfather to Lois Ann, Tom and Sandra.
James, William and John McCullough came from Glass, Scotland.
All three enlisted in Stafford County, Virginia and fought the Revolution.
James served from October 6, 1776 to October 1778 in the 30th Virginia Regiment commanded by William Washington and later by Col. Doak. He was honorably discharged at Fredericktown, Maryland and applied for a pension on July 7, 1818.
William McCullough was killed in the Battle of Brandywine.
After the war James and John emigrated to Montgomery County, Kentucky.
