General:
In 1902 Joseph W. Jones heirs donate land for cemetery where Joseph is buried. What is now known at the Mt. Salem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
This Deed entered and made on the 26th day of August, 1902 between Joseph Jones heirs names James R. Jones, Milford Jones, Melvina Magee, Millie Parman, Margaret Gregory and R. M. Parman for Joseph M. Asher witnesseth that the parties for an in consideration a donation for a family grave yard we do hereby grant and convey the following tract of land as a donation for a grave yard, the following one half acre is on home place and is situated in Laurel County and State of Kentucky and lying on the waters of Sandy Creek the said one half acre is bounded as follows, to wit, Beginning at a dogwood and sourwood on side of hill hence west 10 poles to a stone, thence 28 poles to a stone thence east 10 poles to a stone thence north 8 poles to the beginning containing 1/2 acre by survey. The parties also agree to provide a convenient road way to and from said land to a public road. In testimony whereof we witness our names this 26th day of August 1902. Tilford E. Jones, R. M.
